Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Sets Sights on Hollywood

Travis Kelce, renowned for his prowess on the football field, is now boldly declaring his aspirations for the silver screen.

The three-time Super Bowl champion is not holding back, openly expressing his desire for roles in movies, with a particular interest in one project.

During a recent episode of his podcast, “New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce,” the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end made his intentions clear, stating, “I’m looking for movie deals.” In a nod to Netflix’s forthcoming “Happy Gilmore 2,” Kelce enthusiastically proclaimed, “I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can,” while proudly sporting a Happy Gilmore hat.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Kelce’s venture into dramatic acting with a role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror drama, “Grotesquerie,” as confirmed by the project’s star, Niecy Nash-Betts, via an Instagram video.

Kelce’s presence in the entertainment world has been steadily expanding, fueled in part by his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. Seizing upon numerous opportunities in Hollywood, Kelce recently inked a deal to host Amazon’s upcoming game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”—a modern revival of the popular Fox series, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

In addition to his hosting duties, Kelce has delved into production, lending his talents to the war dramedy “My Dead Friend Zoe” and a documentary titled “King Pleasure,” focusing on the renowned artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Not one to shy away from the comedic realm, Kelce made his mark as a host on “Saturday Night Live” in March 2023, sharing the stage with his brother, Jason, in various sketches.

With his multifaceted talents and undeniable charisma, Travis Kelce’s foray into Hollywood appears to be just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
