Baby Reindeer has officially become one of Netflix’s most popular series ever. Since its release on April 11, the thriller series has garnered 84.5 million views, propelling it to the No. 10 spot on Netflix’s all-time English-language TV series list, surpassing The Witcher Season 1.
With 30 days remaining in its premiere window, Baby Reindeer still has the potential to climb higher, possibly challenging the likes of Bridgerton Season 2 or Stranger Things 3. Remarkably, Baby Reindeer achieved this milestone without being part of an existing franchise, relying solely on word-of-mouth to fuel its rise.
In other Netflix rankings, Millie Bobby Brown’s film Damsel has climbed to No. 7 on the most popular films list, finishing its 91-day premiere window with 138 million views.
For the week of June 3, Hit Man is emerging as a strong contender, but it was the French film Under Paris that dominated with 40.9 million views worldwide since its June 5 release. The movie, featuring a French scientist battling a shark in the Seine, has captivated audiences globally.
Jennifer Lopez’s sci-fi epic Atlas secured the second spot on the weekly film list with 8.9 million views, totaling 59.8 million views in 17 days. To make the most popular films list, however, it will need to sustain this momentum; the current entry threshold is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery with 136.3 million views.
On the TV front, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Eric took the top spot last week with 10.1 million views. Bridgerton Season 3 was pushed to third place by another British drama, Geek Girl, which secured second place with 7.3 million views. Shonda Rhimes’ regency drama’s third season tallied 6.9 million views. Additionally, the third and final season of Sweet Tooth entered the list at No. 5 with 4.4 million views.
